Privacy Policy

Short version

Gon runs on your Mac. It has no telemetry, no analytics and no account. We do not see your files, your scan results or how you use the app.

What stays on your Mac

• Everything Gon scans, finds and cleans.
• Your cleanup history and settings, stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Gon.
• Your license key, stored in the macOS Keychain.

The one network request: license check

When you activate Gon, each time Gon starts, and about once a day while it runs, it contacts our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy) to check your license. Activation sends your license key and your Mac’s computer name; the daily check (and deactivation, if you use it) sends your license key and the activation ID Lemon Squeezy gave this Mac. The computer name may contain your personal name, so you can rename your Mac if you prefer. As with any web request, Lemon Squeezy also sees your IP address. The request contains only these, plus standard web request headers (such as the app name “Gon” and the language “en”). Scanning and cleaning never need the internet.

Payments

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They process your payment details and email address under their own privacy policy. We never see your card number.

Retention

We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide the license, handle refunds and meet legal and tax duties. Support emails are kept until the matter is resolved, then deleted within a reasonable time.

Launch waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this site, we store: your email address, the time you signed up, the page you signed up from (hero or bottom of the page), and a hashed version of your IP address, used only to prevent abuse. We do not store your raw IP address.

Purpose: to send you one launch announcement email. We do not send a confirmation email automatically, and we do not use the list for anything else.

Retention: we delete the list 30 days after the launch announcement is sent, or earlier if you ask.

Delete your data: email support@getgon.app and we will remove your email address.

Where it is stored: on Cloudflare, which runs our backend for this form.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing support@getgon.app. Data held by Lemon Squeezy is also subject to their own policy.

This website

This site does not use cookies, trackers or third-party scripts. The only request this site makes is the waitlist form, if you submit it. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and operations.
